After a massively elec-tech-tronic Infection back to the early nineties, southern germany based Dj Anam Fio discovered his purpose beeing a passionated surfer on the waves of digital beats.

1976 born cosmopolitan Fio was already dejaying Ambient in the Rhein-Neckar area when he felt in love with psychedelic trance music @ the unforgotten "Traumfabrik" in 1995 - and this love should be life changing. Set on fire by the spirit of Goa Anam Fio began to be and to take part of it.

At this stage time traveling with his Brain & Chai Shop and of course careing for the according acoustical background made him be focused on providing party people with mental goodies and on creating hearty places to be.

Taking a next step Fio and two Stuttgart based friends founded the "Anam Cara Project" in 1997. The trio performed Dj-sets featured by live congas, saxophone and fx. Searching his own style Fio´s creativity and receptivity let him join different tribes like Crazy People and Miditation so that he fast connected with the german, french and swiss underground.

Affected by that motion Anam Fio evolved a diversify understandment of Trance-Dance-Music, His styles are reaching from groovy-tribal Psy to trippy Prog and moving further to psychedelic Minimal performed under his second alias "Digital Derwish".

His Psy sets are earthy, tribal and crispy at one time with an always lucent mood whose clarity is dedicated to the morning hours.

Playing more minimalistic Fio´s mixes become either very impulsively, pumping and uplifting which kicks body and caress your mind or he goes insane playing funny funky lysergic stuff twisting your synapses. In either case Anam Fio´s orientation can be said progressive in a way which means to him breaking dogmas and crossing the border to achieve purity and inspiration.

Anam Fio´s taste of Chillout can be best descibed as a colorfull and mindbending sound-collage flavoured with psychedelic Ambient, cosmic Dub and tribal Downbeats. Variety and open mindness relating to stylistic influences are one of Anam Fio´s threads - another, for sure, is his joy of experimenting. But inspite of that, listeners easily can experience to be taken on a harmonious and trippy voyage sitting on a magic carpet and traveling at the speed of the mind. His mission as smooth sonic storyteller in Chill-Out-Spaces since the mid ninties let Anam Fio head to many spots in Europe especially after his legendary 14 hours set @ Earthdance 2001 together with the well-known veteran Peter "Dry Ice" Van der Flught.

Anam Fio´s highest intension is to let dancers and listeners dive deep into sound to explore unlimited power of imagination.

He had this honour on uncountable gigs and is fortunated when looking back on happenings like Goa Noah I-III (Germany 1999/2000/01), Earthdance (Germany 2001), Ragana (Lithuania 2002), Alien Nation (New Zealand 2004) and many more where he shared stage with artists like Star Sound Orchestra, SUN Project, Necton, Hux Flux, Planet BEN, Safi Brothers, Sabai Sabai, Magnetrixx, Beat Bizzare, Neelix and Feuerhake besides many more...
